The Holiday Club - children's holiday club returns to the St James Church Hall 10:00 am to noon from Monday 2nd to Friday 6th August 2010. Arranged by the Churches of Barton for children aged 6 to 10.

Heartfest - music and rock festival at end of Efflinch Lane – from 7:30 pm Friday 31st July and 10:30 am Saturday 1st August 2009 

Heartfest 2009

This year's Heartfest music and rock festival is a two day affair on a field at the bottom end of Efflinch Lane near to the A38 on Friday 31st July and Saturday 1st August.  This the fourth year for Hearfest, which is a fund raiser for the British Heart Foundation, the inspiration of Linda and Malcolm Gale and this year supports Rainbow Children's Society. Previous years have seen Heartfest raise £7,000 and they hope to add significantly to this figure.

This years band line up is impressive with The Cloth, Max Raptor and new band AV8 with others planning to join the line up.

Admission is FREE from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm on Saturday. Lookout for the children's tent with face painting and other activities including stalls and It's a Knockout, five-a-side football, Welly Wanging and "Barton's Got Talent", judges yet to be announced.
