Barton Mayflower II Club was formed in 1960 for Senior Citizens. They meet every Wednesday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm in Saint James Church Hall. Tea & biscuits, raffle, bingo and monthly outings. Visitors welcome. |

The Society was formed on the 19th September 1989 principally to fulfil the following objectives:- (a) To provide a source of contact between cricket enthusiasts everywhere, and to promote, arrange and conduct meetings, social gatherings and other functions in order to enable members of The Society to meet one another, and to encourage and facilitate the exchange of views and information concerning cricket. (b) To extend and explain the knowledge, appreciation and love of cricket amongst persons of all ages and all countries, and assist in any possible way towards the benefit of cricketers and all who are interested in the game.The Society meets during the Cricket Closed Season at Holland Sports Club Barton under Needwood on the third Wednesday of the month. Saint James Toddler Group for all children of pre-school age. Parents, grandparents and carers all welcome. Baby play area for those not yet walking, toys galore, activity table, books and jigsaws and video hire service. The Group operates on Tuesdays & Thursdays 9:00 am to 11:00 am during school terms and Tuesdays only during school holiday weeks. First visit free normal fee £1.50 inclusive of drinks & biscuits. |

Care provided for full day, or morning and afternoon sessions, for children from 6 weeks old to school age by qualified and caring staff with excellent facilities in a beautiful country setting. Educational and recreational activities include French, music, pre-school preparation and a wide variety of outings. |
The Little Stars Playgroup is open Monday to Friday, term time only, from 9:15 am to 11:45 am excluding Bank Holidays in the Village Hall, Crowberry Lane and offer funded places for 3 to 4 year olds. Little Stars meets the Ofsted regulations requirement that at least 50% of staff must hold a recognised childcare qualification. All staff regularly attend training sessions to ensure we maintain a high standard within our pre-school. Children may start at Little Stars with a wide variety of experiences. We offer a well planned curriculum to build on developing skills and interests in a relaxed friendly environment. We believe that children develop at their own rate through play.
