Barton's Shrove Tuesday Pancake race – Main Street – from 11:00 am Tuesday 16th February 2010

Barton's Annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Race is set to take place in Main Street on Tuesday 16th February at 11:00 am. Come along and support this fun event. Bring along your pancakes and pans and enter the spirit of the race. Watch and cheer the children and adults compete racing down Main Street.

Barton Bowls Club, Dunstall Road, Barton-under-Needwood presents Dandy on Saturday 19th February.

Top husband and wife comedy and vocal act Dandy has delighted audiences in the Midlands for many years. Their unique brand of contemporary Black Country humour has made them a very popular act.
Their great strength lies in their original approach to comedy. Using jokes, stories, observations and personal experience, they create a warm, happy atmosphere, adapting the act to suit the audience.

BARTON MUSIC & ART FESTIVAL IN THE PARISH CHURCH OF ST JAMES - Concerts & Exhibitions - 20th February 2010

Glebe Symphonic Winds, Director Steven Greenall, perform  at Saint James Church on Saturday 20th February at 7:30 pm.

Glebe Symphonic Winds is one of the UK’s leading wind orchestras. It was formed in 1998, initially by ex-university students from across the Midlands. The aim was to provide an ongoing opportunity for ensemble playing following graduation.

Admission cost £7.00 with £3.00 for under 16's tickets available from Barton Post Office or on the door.

Spring Fare in aid of Chrons Colitis Charity - St James Church Hall - 21st February 2009 at 10:00 am

Alison Gadsby has organised a Spring Fare in aid of Chrons Colitis Charity at Saint James Church Hall on Saturday 21st February from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

There are a number of stalls including bric-a-brac, books, tombola and cakes and coffee. So go along and support this worthy cuase.
