BARTON MUSIC & ART FESTIVAL IN THE PARISH CHURCH OF ST JAMES - Candlelit Tour of the Church - Friday 1st February 2008

Discover the hidden corners of Saint James Church with a Candlelit tour  on Friday 23rd February at 7:30 pm. Plus a musical interlude by Saint James' Choir.

Admission cost £3.00 with £1.00 for under 16's tickets available from Barton Post Office or on the door.

Barton's Shrove Tuesday Pancake race – Main Street – from 11:00 am Tuesday 5th February 2008

 

Barton's Annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Race is set to take place in Main Street on Tuesday 20th February at 11:00 am. Come along and support this fun event. Bring along your pancakes and pans and enter the spirit of the race. Watch and cheer the children and adults compete racing down Main Street.

Derby Cathedral Choristers perform  at Saint James Church on Saturday 23rd February at 7:30 pm. Admission cost £6.00 with £3.00 for under 16's tickets available from Barton Post Office or on the door.

Winter Warmer Quiz - Holland Sports Club - Friday 22nd February 2008 at 7:00 pm 

The Needwood Branch of the Friends of St. Giles Hospice invite you to a “winter warmer quiz” to be held at Holland Sports Club on Friday 22nd February at 7:00 pm for a 7:30 pm start.

Teams of up to four people are invited to take part but also individual entrants are most welcome to come along and make up a team on the evening of the quiz. Accommodation is limited to 60 so it would be a good idea to contact John Dain (01283 712613) and secure your place. This would be appreciated to help the catering arrangements

Admission is £4.00 which includes soup and a roll served during the interval.
