6:30 pm in John Taylor High School. All members of the community are welcome to discuss and highlight any issue, address problems and find solutions if possible. |

Saturday 5th July 2008 sees the return of the Scouts
Car Wash from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon prompt at the Shoulder of Mutton
Car Park.
So bring along your dirty cars and have them cleaned by the enthusiastic band of Scouts who greatly appreciate your support. |

Come and Sing Mozart Requiem with the Needwood Singers on Saturday 5th Julyat Saint James Church. Registration starts at 1:00 pm followed by rehearsals from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm with a break during which soft drinks and biscuits will be provided. At 4:30 pm there will be a break for you to rest your voices and enjoy all sorts of home made cakes and savouries. The performance will commence at 5:30 pm. The cost is £10:00 per singer with free entry for friends or relatives who wish to hear the %:30 pm performance. Please bring your own score, the Novello Edition if possible, or music will be provided free of charge if requested. Also please indicate if you want to sing a solo. |

Peter and Margaret Hargreaves will be opening their Grafton Cottage garden in Barr Lane for charity again this year. The National Garden Scheme supports Alzheimers Research and various other charities. Their garden will be open for the National Garden Scheme from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm on Sunday 6 July and Sunday 10 August. Grafton Cottage garden created and maintained by the owners has emphasis on scent, colour theme borders, unusual perennials, old roses with many varieties of clematis. The Langsford Men's Choir from Detroit, Michigan USA, have evolved from the Wayne State University Choir who started visiting Barton in the early 1980's under the directorship of the late Dr. Harry Langsford.
