Needwood Mixed Veterans League Roll of Honour 2009

The Needwood Mixed Veterans League is crown green bowling league, which was founded in 2004, and is affiliated to Derbyshire and operates under the Rules of the Burton & District Association. The League is a mixed league of players both male and female who have reached the age of 55 years. Wherever possible a mixed team is encouraged. The League plays matches on Monday afternoons commencing at 1:30 pm. The season commences mid April, but where possible excludes the Bank Holidays. Teams are comprised from six to twelve players with matches being played as 6 singles and 3 doubles. Teams will be limited to a maximum of two players who play in Division One of the Burton Saturday League or the Burton Ladies League. There are currently 18 Clubs participating in the League with twenty three teams in two Divisions. Besides the League games there are a League Cup competition and a mixed doubles merit competition.

New Teams wishing to join the League must submit their intention to do so to the Secretary by 1 December to allow their request to be considered at the January AGM.
