Added Attraction are a high energy multi tribute show which has audiences on their feet from the very first song. Let this versatile band take you on a roller coaster ride that takes a multitude of different musical styles and genres. You could be entertained "Elvis" style then propelled into the mad world of "The Blues Brothers". How about a dash of "Freddie Mercury" followed by sounds of "ABBA".

Car Wash - Barton Fire Station Short Lane – 10:00 am to 3:00 pm Sunday 16th October 2011

Barton Fire-fighters are holding a car wash in aid of the Fire and Rescue Benevolent Fund

Staff will be at the Fire Station in Short Lane from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on Sunday 16th October 2011 to give cars a clean and raise funds.

The Annual Barton Fun Run (formerly Les Lester) takes place on Sunday 16 October starting and finishing at Holland Sport Club, Potters Way off Efflinch Lane Barton-under-Needwood.

Registration takes place from 10:00 am with the race scheduled to start at 11:00 am. Admission charges are Adults £5.00 and Children £3.00, children must have a signed consent form with them on the day otherwise they will not be allowed to run or walk.

Sponsor forms and signing in forms are available from at Londis, Oak Road, or Glenda Watson at Holland Sports Club. For more information ring Sylvia Franklin 07958307911.

 Proceeds from the race will be donated to the joint causes of Cancer Research St Giles Hospice and the Queens Baby Unit.

Bar and food will be available at Holland Sports Club.

Presentation Night - Barton Bowls Club – 7:30 pm Saturday 29th October 2011

Barton Bowls & Social Club are holding their annual Presentation Night on Saturday 29th October  from 7:30 pm.  music will be played either side of the awards presentation, which will be around 9:00 pm. Free Food
