The Annual Les Lester Fun Run takes place on Sunday 19 October starting and finishing at Holland Sport Club, Potters Way off Efflinch Lane Barton-under-Needwood.

Registration takes place from 10:00 am with the race scheduled to start at 11:00 am. Admission charges are Adults £5.00 and Children £3.00, children must have a signed consent form with them on the day otherwise they will not be allowed to run or walk.

Sponsor forms and signing in forms are available from Jean Gaskin at Londis, Oak Road, or Glenda Watson at Holland Sports Club. For more information ring Jean on 01283 716259 or Glenda on 01283 711054. Proceeds from the race will be donated to the joint causes of Cancer Research St Giles Hospice and the Queens Baby Unit.

Bar and food will be available at Holland Sports Club.

Auction

Barton Bowls and Social Club are holding another of their popular Auction fundraiser nights on Saturday October 6th 2007 with bidding commencing at 7:30 pm.

All proceeds raised will go towards Club funds for improving the Club's amenities.

Anyone wishing to donate items for the Auction please bring them to the Club in Dunstall Road on or before Thursday 4th October to allow them to be catalogued.

BARTON MUSIC & ART FESTIVAL IN THE PARISH CHURCH OF ST JAMES - Concerts & Exhibitions - Newhall Band - 6th October 2007

Barton Music and Art Festival in the Parish Church of Saint James present Newhall Band "Last Night of the Proms"  on Saturday 6th October at 7:30 pm.

Admission cost £6.00 with £3.00 for under 16's tickets available from Barton Post Office or on the door.
